Venue: The place where a trial is held.
Verdict: The decision of the case reached by the jury.
Viagra: Medicine intended to treat sexual impotence in men (erectile dysfunction). Patients taking Viagra have experienced heart attack, sudden death, irregular heart rhythm, stroke, chest pain, and increased blood pressure.
Vicarious Liability: The liability of one person for the torts of another.
Vicodin: A prescription pain reliever containing hydrocodone and acetaminophen. Classified in the same category as Oxycontin, Vicodin contains 5-10mg of hydrocodone.
Videx EC: A medication used to treat HIV. There have been reports linking VIDEX EC with fatal lactic acidosis and pancreatitis.
Vioxx: Vioxx is a non-steroidal, anti-inflammatory drug intended to treat menstrual and arthritis pain. The drug is believed to be a defective drug, is known to cause heartburn, nausea, diarrhea, upper respiratory tract infection, swelling of the lower extremities, high blood pressure, itching, stomach ulcers or bleeding, fatigue, vomiting, dark urine, and black stools. Additionally, recent studies have also linked Vioxx to an increased risk of heart attack and stroke.
