Gordon & Doner Sponsors Largest Firefighter Appreciation Parade
PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL (March 16, 2010) – The law firm of Gordon & Doner showed their appreciation for firefighters as they helped sponsor this year’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade with a donation of over $1500. The parade, which has been known to be the biggest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in all of Florida, was dedicated to the honor of firefighters this year with the title “Firefightin’ Irish”. The parade’s floats, activities, entertainment, and decorations were all devoted to firefighters everything they represent to our communities.
Pipe and drum bands made up of firefighters from across the United States and directly from Dublin, Ireland, all came to Florida to make history in what was the first and biggest firefighter appreciation celebration in Florida yet. “The image of American firefighters marching in a traditional parade is etched in the memories of many South Floridians who grew up in the mid West and the North East, and we wanted to finally bring those memories to life here in South Florida,” said John Fischer, Palm Beach County Firefighters Pipe and Drum Corps. “We hope that attending and enjoying a free, traditional American parade while watching organized uniformed firefighters marching in formation will help instill a sense of stability in the community, even in these unstable times.”
